FINALLY! GOOGLE SUES "MAKE MONEY WITH GOOGLE SCAM"!

By

I am so glad that this was exposed, it never seemed like Google actually had anything to do with this. I ran their name through the BBB and the reviews was not good, This is directly form the http://bbb.org site:

You can go the the bbb.org site and type in “google scams” and you get endless pages of hits on this topic, after reading the article posted on their site “Make Money From Home with Google? Not so Fast, Warns BBB” posted 11/2/2009. The state that th BBB has received over 1,500 complaints about dozens of websites using their name and logo, promoting the products. Because of the extensive use of he Google name in promoting the products people were more apt to sign up because of the trusted name and logo.

They went on the quote: “Many families are looking for ways to earn extra money for the holidays and Web sites touting the huge money-making potential of working from home often seem like an answer to prayer,” said Alison Southwick, BBB spokesperson. “Unfortunately, most work-at-home opportunities don’t deliver on what they promise and victims find that instead of making a few extra dollars, they lose hundreds.”

They name several well known scams Google Treasure Chest and Google Money Tree, very catchy names. They said these two sites alone racked up over 500 complaints each. This caught the attention of the Federal Trade Commission and the state Attorney General’s office . Many of these sites have been shut down. They list several other “Google” businesses.

Per Google News, they state in the article named “Google launches law suit after illegal ads use its brand name” They went on to state that they sued a several websites branding their name. They said there are actually thousands of these websites floating around. Can you believe that. Somebody out there who started this whole thing banked on this idea.

One of the main complaints that triggered this investigation is that these companies were charging major recurring monthly charges on their credit cards. This is a direct quote form the article: Specifically, Google is targeting companies that are running ads with taglines like, "Use Google to Make 1000s of Dollars!" or "Easy Cash with Google: You Could be Making up to $978 a Day Working from Home!"

Google named the following known companies that consumers should avoid:

Google Adwork, Google ATM, Google Biz Kit, Google Cash, Earn Google Cash Kit, Google Fortune, Google Marketing Kit, Google Profits, The Home Business Kit for Google, Google StartUp Kit, and Google Works.

Thats why I say folks check these companies out before investing time and money.

I do hope that these companies have to pay restitution, or punished in some way. But people at the same time these people who got taken advantage of should be at some fault. Now that we have the World Wide Web we have unlimited resources to check things out.

See yall on my next post =D
